Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Crucible (the "Service"), operated by Abhishek Janjalkar ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What Crucible does
Crucible analyses a startup or product idea you submit and returns a structured assessment across a proprietary multi-lens venture-evaluation framework, including per-criterion findings and a synthesised readiness view. The output is generated with the assistance of large language models and is provided for informational and educational purposes only.
Not professional advice. Crucible does not provide investment, financial, legal, tax, or business advice, and its output is not a recommendation to take or refrain from any action. You are solely responsible for decisions you make based on it. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or outcome of any analysis.
2. Eligibility & accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your password secure. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.
- You agree to provide accurate account information and keep it current.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) use the Service unlawfully or to infringe others' rights; (b) submit content you do not have the right to submit; (c) attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, probe, or extract the Service's prompts, framework definitions, rubrics, or underlying methodology; (d) resell, redistribute, or build a competing product from the Service's outputs or internals; (e) interfere with, overload, or circumvent the security, rate limits, or quotas of the Service.
4. Subscriptions, billing & taxes
The Service offers a free tier and a paid "Pro" subscription with regional pricing. Paid subscriptions are sold and processed by our Merchant of Record, Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd and its affiliates), which acts as the reseller of record, handles payment, and is responsible for billing-related taxes (such as VAT/GST). By subscribing you also agree to Paddle's buyer terms presented at checkout.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Prices may change with notice; changes apply to subsequent billing periods.
- Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
5. Intellectual property
The Service — including its framework, prompts, rubrics, exemplars, software, and design — is our exclusive property and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service and its outputs for your own internal business or personal purposes, subject to these Terms.
You retain ownership of the ideas and content you submit ("Your Content"). You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, and transmit Your Content as needed to operate and improve the Service, including sending it to our subprocessors (see the Privacy Policy).
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that outputs will be accurate or reliable.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service. On termination, the rights granted to you end and we may delete your data subject to the Privacy Policy.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
